A maintained TrackerZapper Alternative for Mac

TrackerZapper, by Robb Knight, is a tiny free menu bar app that removes tracking parameters from any link you copy, automatically. It's open source under MIT. It's also not notarised — the README warns about the unidentified-developer prompt — and its latest release is 1.2.1 from February 2022. Notchy's link cleaner, new in 1.0.172, does the same job inside a signed, frequently updated clipboard manager.

Why use Notchy instead of TrackerZapper?

  • Signed and current

Notchy is notarised by Apple and ships frequent updates. No Gatekeeper workaround to install it.

  • Offered or automatic

Get a one-tap clean action on links in clipboard history, or turn on Clean Automatically for TrackerZapper-style zero-click cleaning.

  • Careful rules

Global trackers plus per-site rules, and a strict line: a parameter that might change what the page shows is never removed.

  • Where TrackerZapper is better

It does one thing, invisibly, in a very small app you can read the source of. If that's all you want and you're comfortable with an unsigned build, it's hard to beat.
