Notchy is a native macOS app that turns the MacBook notch into a Dynamic Island for music, timers, clipboard history, file drops and system HUDs. It is made by Vishva Variya, an independent Mac developer, and shaped by the people who use it and write in with ideas.

Notchy is built by one developer. You can find Vishva Variya's other work on his personal website, follow Notchy on X, or report a bug in the public feedback repository. That repository hosts releases and feedback; the app's source code is private.

Our Mission
When Apple introduced the notch to the MacBook lineup, it was met with mixed reactions. While it provided more screen real estate, the space itself was dead and unutilized. Our mission with Notchy was simple: turn that dead space into the most useful part of your Mac.
We believe that desktop utilities should be light, native, and deeply integrated into the operating system. We built Notchy not just as a visual gimmick, but as a genuine productivity multiplier—integrating clipboard history, AI usage tracking, media controls, and system monitoring directly into the notch.
