Which Macs and macOS versions does Notchy support?
Notchy runs on macOS 13 Ventura or later, natively on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs. MacBooks with a notch get a Dynamic Island around it; Macs without one — iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio, older MacBooks and external displays — get a floating pill.
Good to know
A few features need a newer macOS: the audio-reactive visualizer and the per-app Sound Mixer need macOS 14.4 or later, and AI Rewrite in the clipboard needs macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence turned on.
Face Unlock needs a camera — the built-in one, or a USB webcam when a laptop is closed in clamshell mode.
Charge Limit works on Apple silicon and Intel MacBooks; the Battery settings show “Not supported on this Mac” if your model can't do it.
