The honest verdict on Typinator
Typinator is a proper text expander and Notchy is not an alternative to it in that sense. If your real problem is recall rather than repetition, clipboard history in the notch is free and needs no snippets defined up front.

No. Typinator's abbreviation expansion, auto-correction and scripting have no equivalent in Notchy. If you want a text expander, Typinator or aText are the tools.

Is Typinator private?
Yes — the vendor states snippets are stored locally with no cloud uploads and no data collection, with optional sync via iCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive or your own servers. Notchy's clipboard history is likewise local, with no sync at all.
