Scrolling Screenshots on Mac
Pick a region, and Notchy shoots it, scrolls it and shoots it again until the page ends — then stitches every shot into one tall image. A whole web page, a long chat or a settings sheet that scrolls, in one capture. Free.
Works in any app, browsers included
Notchy scrolls with a real scroll event over the region you framed, the way your trackpad would, instead of asking the app for its scroll view. So it works in Safari, Chrome and Arc, and in the apps that expose nothing to Accessibility.
No seams to line up
Each scroll moves well under the height of the region, so consecutive shots always overlap. Notchy finds the rows they share and joins them there — no doubled lines, no gaps.
Stops on its own
The capture ends when the page stops moving. An infinite feed that keeps loading as you scroll is cut off after 30 shots, so it can't fill your disk.
Lands like any other screenshot
The stitched image goes to the clipboard, onto the notch shelf as a PNG you can drag, and into the screenshot editor — arrows, boxes, redaction, OCR and your watermark all apply.

Scrolling Screenshots — FAQ
Can a Mac take a scrolling screenshot on its own?
No. ⌘⇧5 and ⌘⇧4 only capture what is on screen at that moment. A page taller than the display needs an app that scrolls and stitches — Notchy does it free since version 1.0.172.
How do I start a scrolling capture in Notchy?
Open the command palette and choose Capture Scrolling Screenshot, then frame the region you want. Notchy moves the notch out of the way, scrolls the region and stitches the result.
Does it work in Safari and Chrome?
Yes. Because it posts a real scroll event rather than reading the page, it works in any browser and in native apps alike.
What permission does it need?
Screen Recording, the same permission every Mac screenshot app needs. If it hasn't been granted, Notchy asks for it and tells you in the notch rather than failing silently.
Is this a free alternative to CleanShot X or Shottr for scrolling capture?
For scrolling capture, yes. CleanShot X ($29) still has the deeper editor and cloud sharing, and Shottr adds tools like a screen ruler and object removal. If you need a long screenshot now and then, Notchy covers it for nothing.
