Why use Notchy instead of Spaceman?

Spaceman caps a Space name at three characters because it has a menu bar slot to fit into. A card in the notch has room, so a desktop can simply be called Writing or Client work.

Is Spaceman free?

What macOS does Spaceman need?

Can Notchy name my Spaces?
Yes, with full names rather than a three-character label. Names are stored against the Space's WindowServer UUID, so they survive reboots.
Can Notchy switch Spaces, or only show them?
Both. Click a Space on the Home card, swipe the notch or use a hotkey. It posts macOS's own Mission Control shortcuts, so those shortcuts need to be enabled in System Settings.
Does either one work with multiple displays?
Spaceman shows all displays at once. Notchy reads every display and shows the Spaces on the one your cursor is on — the display macOS will actually switch.
Can I run both?
Yes. They don't touch each other: Spaceman keeps a permanent menu bar readout, Notchy puts the switcher in the notch. Neither modifies your Spaces.
