Notchy

Micro-App Feature

Your Magic Mouse battery, in the notch

Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard, Trackpad and other Bluetooth devices — see every battery level at a glance, right next to your AirPods. Notchy ends the menu-bar hunting. Free.

Never caught flat

A Magic Mouse always seems to die mid-task. Notchy keeps its charge — and your keyboard's and trackpad's — visible in the notch, so you top up before it quits on you.

Every wireless device, one glance

Peripheral battery shows alongside AirPods battery. One look at the notch and you know the charge of everything wireless on your desk — no apps to open, no menus to expand.

The right icon for each

Notchy picks a fitting symbol per device from its product name, so a mouse looks like a mouse and a keyboard like a keyboard — easy to read at a glance.

Featherweight

Because peripheral charge barely changes, Notchy reads it on a slow, tolerant timer. You get current numbers with zero noticeable cost to your Mac's own battery.

Mac Device Battery — FAQ

How do I check my Magic Mouse battery on a Mac?

Notchy reads the battery level of your Magic Mouse — and Magic Keyboard, Trackpad and other Bluetooth HID devices — and shows it in the notch. No need to open System Settings or hover the Bluetooth menu.

Which devices does it show?

Apple's Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad, plus other connected Bluetooth input peripherals that report a battery level. Each shows its own percentage with a matching icon.

Does it show AirPods battery too?

Yes. Peripheral battery sits alongside Notchy's AirPods battery display, so a single glance at the notch shows the charge of every wireless device on your desk.

Does it warn me when a device runs low?

Yes. When your Magic Mouse, Keyboard, Trackpad or AirPods drop to around 10%, Notchy pops a compact low-battery island — once, without nagging — so you can charge before the device dies mid-task.

Will it drain my battery?

No. Notchy polls device levels on a slow timer because the numbers barely move — it's a lightweight read, not a constant poll, so there's no measurable impact on your Mac's battery.
