How do I keep the date and time visible while music or a timer is running?

Add the Clock card in Settings → Home → Add a Card, then open Home on your external display and click the pin button to keep the panel open. The closed-pill clock only appears while idle; there is currently no setting to keep it beside music or a running timer.

Step by step

  1. Open Settings → Home. Under “Add a Card”, add “Clock” if it is not already on Home.
  2. Open Notchy on your external display and select Home.
  3. Click the pin button in the header. The expanded panel stays open when you move your pointer away; click the pin again to release it.

Good to know

For an idle clock on the smaller, closed pill, open Settings → Appearance → Clock, enable “Clock on the Closed Pill” and set “Clock Shows” to “Time and Date”. You can also choose the date format and whether to show seconds.

The closed-pill clock is for displays without a physical notch. Music and running activities replace it, and Notifications-Only Mode hides it entirely.

Pinning keeps the expanded Home panel open; it does not add a clock to the music or timer island. If the pin button is missing, search Settings for “Pin Button” and turn it on.
