Clean Links on Mac
Copy a link and Notchy spots the tracking tail — utm_source, fbclid, gclid, YouTube's si — and offers the clean version, or strips it the moment you copy. Plus a clipboard that can empty itself. Free, in the notch.
Only what can't change the page
The rule is that removing a parameter must never change what the link opens. utm_ tags, click IDs and share trackers go; a YouTube video ID or a search query stays. Anything ambiguous is left alone.
Site-aware
Beyond the global list — Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok, email platforms and analytics suites — there are per-site rules for YouTube, X, Instagram, Facebook, Spotify, Reddit, Amazon, eBay, LinkedIn, Etsy and more.

By default a copied link with trackers gets a one-tap clean action in clipboard history. Turn on Clean Automatically and the trackers are gone before you paste.

Clean Links — FAQ
How do I remove tracking parameters from links I copy on a Mac?
Notchy does it in the clipboard: since version 1.0.172 it recognises tracking parameters in copied links and offers a cleaned copy, or with Clean Automatically on, replaces the link as soon as you copy it.
Will a cleaned link still work?
That is the whole design. Notchy only drops parameters that identify a campaign, click or visitor — never ones that pick the content, like a video ID. When a parameter could go either way, it stays.
Can the Mac clipboard clear itself automatically?
With Notchy, yes: after a set number of minutes without a new copy, on sleep, or on screen lock. It is off by default, and it never deletes your clipboard history.
Does Notchy record passwords I copy?
No. It skips copies that password managers mark as concealed or transient, and ignores 1Password, Apple Passwords, Keychain Access, Bitwarden, KeePassXC, LastPass and Enpass outright. You can add any other app to that ignore list.
Is this a free Pure Paste or TrackerZapper alternative?
For link cleaning, yes. Pure Paste ($4) also strips formatting from everything you paste, and TrackerZapper is free and open source but unsigned and last released in 2022. Notchy does it inside a full clipboard manager.
