Micro-App Feature

Apple Reminders one click from the notch

Jot a reminder and check what's due without ever opening the Reminders app. Notchy brings quick capture and your due list into the MacBook notch — synced through iCloud, free.

Capture before you forget

The whole point of a reminder is catching it the instant it crosses your mind. Notchy makes that a single click to the notch and a line of text — no app launch breaking your flow.

Your real reminders, synced

This isn't a separate to-do silo. Notchy writes to Apple Reminders via EventKit, so everything you add shows up on iPhone, iPad and every Mac through iCloud automatically.

See what's due at a glance

The notch surfaces your incomplete reminders and highlights anything overdue, so you stay on top of the day without digging through a full app window.

Private and on-device

Notchy talks straight to Apple's on-device Reminders store. There's no Notchy account and no server in the middle — your tasks stay yours.

Mac Reminders — FAQ

Does this use my real Apple Reminders?

Yes. Notchy reads and writes your actual Apple Reminders through EventKit, so anything you capture in the notch syncs to Reminders on your iPhone, iPad and other Macs via iCloud — and vice versa.

How do I add a reminder from the notch?

Open the Reminders tab in the notch, type what you need to remember, and hit return. It's captured to Apple Reminders instantly — no app launch, no window, no context switch.

Can I see what's due?

Yes. The notch lists your incomplete reminders with what's due soon and flags anything overdue, so a quick glance tells you what still needs doing.

Is my reminder data private?

Completely. Notchy asks for Reminders access on first use and works directly with Apple's on-device EventKit store. Nothing routes through Notchy's servers — there aren't any.
