How do I add Notchy widgets to my Mac desktop?

Turn on “Desktop Widgets” in Settings → Home. Notchy can put Clock, World Clock, Now Playing, Weather, Sunrise & Sunset, Calendar, Batteries, System and Photo widgets on the wallpaper, under every window. Drag a widget to move it; right-click it to resize or remove it.

Step by step

  1. Open Settings → Home and find the Desktop Widgets section.
  2. Switch on “Desktop Widgets” and pick the widgets you want.
  3. Drag a widget on the desktop to place it. Right-click it to change its size or remove it.

Good to know

“Glass Widgets” draws frosted glass over the wallpaper. Turn it off for solid widgets — Weather then shows the sky behind its forecast.

“Add Photo Widget” adds another photo, or a folder of photos, in a widget of its own.

“Lyrics in Now Playing” shows the current line on the Now Playing widget when the song has synced lyrics.

Want music above your windows instead of on the wallpaper? That's the floating player.
