Why does one trackpad click feel like two haptic clicks in Notchy?

Update Notchy: its haptic handling suppresses extra feedback around physical clicks and combines closely spaced pulses. To disable Notchy's added feedback, turn off “Haptic Feedback” in Settings → Appearance → Motion. Timer/Pomodoro completion deliberately uses two pulses when haptics are enabled.
