Why won't Notchy's buttons respond while Chrome, Safari or Firefox is open?
Notchy's controls should respond on the first click while another app is in front. Update Notchy, check Accessibility in Settings → Permissions and restart it. If a button still fails or opening the panel changes Spaces, report the foreground app and the exact control or action; old fixes do not confirm every Mac's case is resolved.
Step by step
- Update Notchy and restart it from the pill's right-click menu.
- Check Accessibility in Settings → Permissions. If it is granted but not working, follow permission recovery.
- With your browser still in front, open Notchy and try the affected control once.
- If it fails, include your Mac model, macOS and Notchy versions, foreground app, and whether the failure was a missed click, freeze or Space switch.
Good to know
For Timer problems, name the control: Standard/Pomodoro, the custom time ruler, Start/Pause, or Focus. A successful test of one control does not establish that the others work.
If the Mac's input is frozen, use the frozen-app recovery steps rather than deliberately repeating the failure.
