Is Notchy a good MonitorControl alternative?
If MonitorControl is on your Mac purely so the brightness keys reach an external monitor, then yes — Notchy does the same over DDC/CI, without a second app in the menu bar. MonitorControl is free and open source, so this is a consolidation argument, not a price one.
Does Notchy show a HUD like MonitorControl does?

Which monitors work?
